Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah dubai

Community Overview

The Palm Jumeirah is a unique place to live in terms of its prominence and proximity to the sea whether you opt for an apartment on the trunk or a villa on the ‘fronds’. It offers stunning views over the sea as well as the Dubai skyline. The luxury hotels dotting its crescent add to the Palm’s flair and also provide entertainment options, which can otherwise be found in the beach clubs. The Palm is not a walking destination and there is no busy ‘buzz’ about the place; instead a calm, peaceful lifestyle is on offer away from the stresses of the city.

Location

The Palm Jumeirah is just off Al Sufouh Road before the entrance to Dubai Marina across Dubai Media City and Knowledge Village. Access is also very easy from Sheikh Zayed Road with a flyover leading directly onto and off the Palm. A huge parking area at the foot of the Palm provides plenty of space for those wanting to jump onto the monorail, which currently only has one stop at ‘The Atlantis’ hotel at the very end of the Palm. In the near future the Al Sufouh Tram will stop here as well, connecting the Palm to Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Marina and the Dubai Metro.

Who lives here?

The Palm attracts a variety of residents. Its location makes it the perfect holiday or second home destination, as well as a home for permanent residents. Professional expatriates living in Dubai from varying nationalities live here. Both single professionals and families choose the Palm as their home.

Amenities & facilities

The Palm’s individual developments offer access to the beach and they usually have swimming pools and gyms. There are also a few beach clubs, such as RIVA Beach Club, offering membership for non-residents. A few restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores can be found along the trunk. More restaurants, day and night entertainment venues and spas are in easy reach at the crescent hotels such as Anantara, Sofitel, etc. Nasimi Beach at Atlantis is very popular as a music venue by the beach as is the hotel’s Aquaventure, Dolphin Bay. A marina between Marina Residences and Tiara offers berthing. Enjoying the beach and water sports goes without saying.

Property choices

The trunk offers a luxurious apartment lifestyle with the Golden Mile and Shoreline developments. Mini-developments like Tiara, Oceana and Marina Residences are high-rise communities in their own right offering 1 to 4 bedroom options. The frond villas vary in design with mid-sized family homes to large opulent mansions with their own beach access.

  • Tranquillity
  • Easy access, no traffic congestion
